All Workshops...

Theatre Workshop

The workshop kicks off with an engaging introduction and icebreaker game. This initial activity is designed to foster unity and community, setting the stage for a collaborative learning environment.

Shakespeare Workshop

Participants will jump right into working on the Bard’s language, speaking his text while exploring elements of the four P’s- “Power words, Punctuation, Projection, and Purpose. Work will then transition to larger elements of text, choral speech, and ensemble connection. These workshops are often linked directly to larger residency applications found here.

Stage Combat Workshop

Students will learn safe and effective techniques to engage in non-violent means of depicting violence on stage. Students will work together to partner on techniques that can be perceived by an audience as violent, but within the partnership is a carefully choreographed partnered dance. Stage Combat Workshops are established with safe techniques/application for age group.

Theatrical Makeup Workshop

Students will learn the step-by-step skills of application of techniques.  From Animals to Old Age, Basic Corrective makeup for the stage to Trauma Simulation, our team can tailor our makeup workshops to teach students applications for the stage.

 “Movement for the Actor” Workshop

Students will learn techniques of character creation utilizing the principles of Weight, Time, and Space. Focusing on self-awareness and the release of physical choices to create characters will effectively allow the student to develop practices which will allow them to inhabit a role and the closure needed to release from that role once a performance is over.
